Default Need some help/advice

Ok currently own a 97 Type R with Apexi Exhaust, Arc Air Filter and some stainless headers (bought off JDMHonda Parts Ebay). Was concerned that these are classed as cheap and will not last.

Car has an Apexi ECU which has been remapped and car is running 300 bhp 300 torque.

I have bought a Scoobyparts Sports cat which I want to put on and also some standard headers which have been ported to replace the Stainless ones. Guy I bought them off said previous owner had ported them who worked for a engine building company apparently he was totally **** so they have been done to a good standard. The car made 311 on zens rollers on std blower ecu and cooler all down to his porting.

Anyway they have turned up and shocked at the weight of them! What should I do, keep the stainless ones or replace with the ported ones?

Car is going to be remapped by JGM. What kind of power can I expect? Also what about my Turbo? Worth replacing?

What power can I safely run so I don't have to replace the clutch, injectors etc?

I must admit I have got used to 300 bhp and would like a little bit more.

Working on headers/up-pipe/turbo is a minefield, there are so many combinations, some work well, others not so, while still others may actually be detrimental to your engine's performance.

Can I suggest you PM harvey, (Harvey Smith), on here? He has done LOTS of research on REAL CARS in this matter, and will be able to advise and also set you up with what you need.
