For best results the sender needs to go into no.3 cylinder. (One nearest the turbo). You have to remove the intercooler in order to gain access to it. I believe its either a 7 or 8mm allen key socket you'll need to undo the blanking bung on top of the engine block!!. Then screw your new sender into it. You'll need an adapter for this. Its in the link below!!

As above: the sender for the oil PRESSURE goes under the alternator, usually in place of the OE oil pressure switch, unless you use a T-piece because the new sender is too big, or you want both.

Best place for oil TEMPERATURE is in the blanked off tapping over cylinder No3, which is the cylinder that runs hottest, hence Subaru putting the sender there.

If you decide to do it you're self then dont forget to put PTFE tape on the sender unit before screwing it into the sender unit adapter. This will prevent oil from pissing out.

As stated, above, it goes into the tapping where the OE oil pressure switch is at present, under the alternator, and if it's too big, use a T-piece.
