Induction kits are only really useful over 350bhp on classic and 400bhp on newage, and as for sucking in to much air, just part them off with nimbus heat shield and jobs a good un.

I run a Roger Clark k&n kit with their alloy trumpet

Please don't forget people. On classics i know that Without a remap / new ecu, inductions kill maf sensors, knackered mafs kill engines.

But once done def RCM/K&N

as mentioned, just get a good panel filter - k&N will be more than adequate

My newage standard Panel filter and OEM airbox remap and supporting mods 403bhp

On a Newage PPP''d 300bhp with a induction kitted (without a Remap) sounded great but went Sh1te produced 230bhp. I help him fit the OEM airbox next run was 296Bhp

UK Classic's OEM Panel filter & airbox were restrictive and a KN Panel filter would make a performance gain with "Remap"

IMHO

I think its only decent panel filters they covered but if you want to see if the op can add the "no luck" filter, go for it

Cool

Either K@N or STD filter

Forget the idea of a induction kit

Many engines have blown up over the years

Do a search as been discussed so much over the years

Remember to rebuild an engine will cost as much as the classic is worth
Saying that the more classics that are scrapped the more rare the one owner ,unmolested well kept classics will be

We just need someone who can rebuild re arches that are rusting away on all classics

Pipercross dry/unoiled panel filter. Avoid Doluck! I've never seen such an oil drenched filter before, it didn't get within 20 feet of my airbox.

Green or K&N panel filter and stock air box should give you plenty of flow right up past 300bhp.
