Default Convince me.......

I'm seriously looking at moving on from my turbo2000 to a bug wrx. (I know they're marmite, but I like em )

Current car in question,

I've had great fun getting the car to how it looks now just feel maybe its time for a change.

Pros and Cons of keeping the above and changing to a bug please

Go for a bugeye but fit the JDM STi headlamps as they improve the front of the car no end, sorry to say but the UK lamps look pants and the Morette's and Prodrive lamps are not much better either.

Have you driven Bugeye? I have Sti Wagon so I am bias but having driven several of each model the Bugeye feels more planted on the road better road holding,as Cannon Fodder said the Sti headlights look great the others look like tonka toys.

I went from a classic to a bug Sti and i like the modern feel in the bug but it's heavier and not quiet as nimble as the classic. I think you will be dissapointed with a Bug Wrx tbh mate

They weigh a bit more than a classic, so need a higher state of tune to be as quick.

Nicer interior though.

There are no cons, keep the classic, Bug WRX would be a major come down IMHO

I realise they're slightly heavier, I'm sure a bit of chassis tweeking can make them a bit more nimble!

Having owned both classic and bug as well as having driven the sti bug and sti type r... I would choose the bug everytime.

And yes I believe stis are worth the extra money.

The bugs are more solid, less rattles and more comfortable.

And no offense, but your current car is kind of marmite....

Good luck with it. Take a couple for test drives and see which you prefer

I'd love the STi, however not sure if funds would really stretch that far, but we'll see

Depends on the level of work that you want... I bought my STi, knowing that the discs and suspension would have to be done in 3-6 months. Substantial discount Prodive STi... best one

Definitely try and stretch the budget... the gearbox alone is worth the extra, not to mention all the other bits and pieces that come along!!
