Nice piccies Dougie.

Hope you enjoyed the laps in the EVO, maybe Diana will go out the next time.

As usual the time and petrol went far too quickly. I had that many people ask for passenger laps that for the last hour, it was a roll on roll off system, but I still didn't get through everyone. Sorry. (Didn't believe it was possible to use a full tank in that last hour). It also meant I didn't get a lot of time for chatting. Next time.

I did give Dave McC a go in his own car, now that the Apexi controllers have been set up. After that he was happy to sit back and watch me take people out. Brave man.

Slick tyres next time please Dave. The other EVO with the slicks was quicker in the corners, and the Escort Turbo - I've never seen one go so quick, very impressive also with slicks.

So thanks to JohnS for the last minute place, and another great day out.

Cool

glad you enjoyed it .

you forgot " who your daddy "

DAVID
did not have a chance to speak to you. we both seemed very busy . and since we never met on the track although we seemed out all the time, we must have been doing similar times
i am sure will get a chance next time. scott's car EVO VI on slicks ( 18" white alloys ) went faster than ever before. so they are the way to go. same with me, slicks have made a HUGE difference. i was braking at sign that that says 50 before duffs and the chicane. i could have braked even later but i did not have the ***** to go that far

Dougie and Diana,

Thanks for the help, it was a great day well worth the trip

Whos the good lookin chap in the top top piccie?

Had plenty of time for the ferry on the way back no probs and boy did I enjoy using up the rest of that tank with the silkoliene in it, didn't really notice the difference on track but on the way home WOW! seriously grin inducing if it wasn't so expensive I'd use it all the time (still might)

Thanks to everyone who helped me out and John S in particular for organising such a great day!

Andy,

I think you will find that most cars seem to run a lot smoother and faster after getting some exercise on the track. Not sure why, but it's been noticed quite a few times.

Glad the trip was worthwhile, and you made it home safely. Hope to see you again in the future.

"and the Escort Turbo - I've never seen one go so quick, very impressive also with slicks. "

Cheers for that comment, the car was going like a rocket... all thanks to alan at AVA in glasgow for tuning the engine like a god. never a hiccup from it.

Id like it if you could confirm that my car was fast thru the corners, as most people just stood at the pit wall and claimed it was "fast up the straight" and never saw how quick it could go down thru the complex after the pit straight.

I presume yours was the evo that i was following for a few laps near the end? It was great to have a good battle, up the pit straight we just seemed head on head other than the leap u got from the hair pin ( traction UGH ). I didnt want to break the rules of overtaking on the right but after a bit i kinda did, sorry, but i did wait a lap or two! all in good faith etc

those elises and so on were getting in the way ( jest, but kinda true )

i have your car on film if im not mistaken, its the silver eveo with the massive tail pipe and std super tourismo style wheels?

We are behind you for a few laps until we over take. Its on a proper digital video cam so we could probably come up with footage but we dont have the wire to attach it to a pc yet, if we do, ill get it linked up on here for you!

Cheers and im glad to see an evo being driven hard, most of the time i see them sitting in car parks all polished up not being driven hard round knockhill! very impressed all round!

Steven,

I'd love to see the footage some time, maybe you could work out a lap time for me. Oops - no official timing
