Ha Ha Ha Mrs Just Shat Herself
Taking the dog to the vets for her annual jabs and a little pushed for time.
We just come into the NSL with 3 cars in front, the 'leader' just sits there at 45mph cars 2 and 3 over take, 2 coming head on so she waits for a clearing. Boots it in 3rd, gets just past the slower motor and the Samco intercooler pipe pops off. I knew straight away what was going on but Mrs B thought she had killed the Scoob. Funniest thing i've seen for a while, bless her.

Not a good time for that to happen lol, I'll have to slacken the clips off on mine and explain to the wife that it requires four new tyres fitting to the recently purchased Rota wheels to put it right.

The intercooler pipework usually needs tightening of the clamps after the car has been run for a short while and although this has happened occasionally when new intercoolers have been fitted, generally the problem is avoided after a re-tighten from the road test before serious boost on mapping of cars. It is often worth a further tighten after a couple of weeks and the problem is solved.
Most intercooler pipework is swaged to retain the clamps so it should not happen and where you have cut a pipe a little bit of talcum powder on the pipe gives the additional grip required

As long as your dog is OK and got its jabs that is the main thing

I actually found that i had a bit more leeway than i first thought, so have been able to push it on a deal further, which should help.
Your knowledgeable input always appreciated..

Same thing happened to me but shot my fog cover across the road had a spanner in my car so put it back on, went for a wee drive to test, and it popped off again, launching the fog cover towards some kids walking their dogs
Rang Martyn from Engine Tuner and he advised to spray hairspray inside the silicone hose, hey presto, never came off again!!
I did think the Engine had gone pop again so my ar$e went like the clappers

Immediately after major work when road testing and when mapping cars that have had substantial work done elsewhere I often carry a small tool kit which has saved considerable time on numerous occasions not having to come back to base to rectify a simple issue and start again.
The problem is when you forget to remove the kit from the car in question and the customer drives off..........
I won't be carrying hairspray however
