New Belts replacement!!
Hi guys Im due to do a change on all of the belts ( Inc timing belt) in my 1996 Impreza v3 sti!
Can anyone please give me a rough amour it might cost me in labour?? So I don't get ripped off I'm labour! I know it's not going to be cheap anyway!
And is there anywhere I can buy good quality belts for a
reasonable price??
Would anyone recommend I replace any other bits while the timing belts getting changed too?
Thanks guys :-D

RCM website have got the kits listed with prices. Also got kits with Cosworth belt if required. Not cheap but I wont risk it without replacing it all.

Further down is the one with the Cosworth belt.

Thats expensive!!
Gates are far cheaper and its the factory part. Gates make belts...thats all they do. Cosworth on the other hand make all sorts, So I doubt their their belts are made in house (unlike thier castings/forgings ), they are likely to be made by someone else with the own brand stamped on it...Just like Subaru do with Gates Belts.
(Gates = Subaru, same part). These usually retail for around £70-80
As mentioned above. Idlers (all three), tensioner and water pump must be checked. I would high reccomend changing all the idlers if there was no eveidence of them being changed on the last cambelt service.
Tensioners and Idlers made by Blueprint use NSK bearings like the OEM items.
