After a bit of advice really, I want to put some winter tyres on my jdm sti, the standard size is 235/45 17. If I got some 225/50 x 17 would they be ok for clearance, I know they are about 13-14mm bigger in diameter but would there be enough clearance for them, it would open my options up a bit as winter tyres are hard to find at the moment,

I have just done this with mine. The 50 series tyres will not catch. Also make the speedo read correctly LOL

Depends if your cars lowered on its ***, or if its running standard set-up, should be ok. You should be able to tell by looking at it if youve got the room..
