Default Disconecting battery

I work offshore and over the winter months the car barley starts when I come home. Can I remove the battery from the car and have it on maintenance charger for the 3 weeks I'm away and refitt it once home without any side effects ?

dont remove the battery just put the maiintenance charger and it should be ok!thats what ive done for the last 5 years...saves setting radio codes etc aswell

Only 1 problem is I don't have a garage. Onstreet parking lol
