preperation for trackday? all advice welcome
Iv got a trackday booked at brands hatch this monday, was looking for any pointers.
i have done a few evening a whole day sessions at a few tracks, but that was in my honda civic type R, and the car was so easy to look after, never really needed anything doing or fixing, i just drove there, ragged it all day, topped up the oil, and drove it home.
my car is at my mates garage having new pads/discs all round, and a cambelt that was due (just hit 50k) along with an oil/filter service. a full fluid change inc gearbox, diffs etc were done a few thousand miles ago, along with a new air filter and spark plugs. car also has almost brand new R888's and has full alignment and such done at elite in rainham the other day.
so have i covered everything? im bringing along a spare set of wheels/tyres, trolly jack, selection of tools, spare oil.
anything iv missed? or need to be careful with?
thanks in advance, REZ

All I would say is to try to bed the brakes in on the road before you get on track... I boiled my new brake fluid by getting a bit too excited.
If you have an oil temp. gauge, watch after a few laps ( just in case ! ).
And most of all, don't forget to enjoy it !

long sleave shirt, helmet, driving licence .. chocks for wheels as don't want to put the handbrake on after .. and roll the car after 3 mins static so that pads on a different part of disk
also check where the nearest Tescos or Shell station is for a dash out at lunchtime ... never go less than a 1/4 full .. scoobies don't like it

why no handbrake on a impreza, they use a seperate handbrake system that dont work with the calipers ?
i would take spare fluids aswell and make sure the breather system is uprated too
oh and if a classic then fill the power steering fluid up to the MIN marker as it expands when hot and spits off the cap sometimes
oh and dont waste your money on track insurance as it dont cover **** all in reality compared to what you are paying out on
