As above, almost instant. Check you have funds before sending. Sometimes you get an E- Cheque and that does not clear for a week or whatever.

Don't send anything until the payment is physically showing in your account and then I, personally, transfer the money to my back account immediately

Be warned with SPAM paypal receipts too. I helped a mate sell a £500 Digital camera, the buyer sent him an FAKE paypal receipt that looked the dogs, but he was new to the whole selling online and payment transactions malarkey. I made him (on works pc) log on to his account..... vuala NO FUNDS!!!!

AND if selling on here and you dont have faith in the guy being genuine or he is newbie, always request money to be sent by GIFT so he has no come back, where as you who has been a member on here for 5 years should be thought of as being trust worthy.

Resolution on Paypal issues always goes instantly in favour of the buyer...... this is not available in GIFT Option.

I would also offer gift to genuine buyer too (no fees), unless the buyer is prepared to stump up the fees costs on top of the sale price.

PS, Folk that are new to PAYPAL can sometime experience a long wait for money transafers to bank account - Worst ive seen is 21 days!!!!!

This is due to new sellers being tested by paypal for authenticy... and sometimes they have to be checked out with some small tests, such as paypal will put some small amounts of money into your bank account to which you have to clarify the amounts to show you are the account holder.
