Mobil 1 MS 15W/50 5L anyone used it???
Mobil 1 MS 15W/50 5L is the only thing I can get hold of locally by the looks of it as I can't find anyone that does Silkolene or Motul etc. locally at short notice.
It's sold in Halfords.
Opinions please!

think 15/50 is a little thick for scooby. Have used it in other cars without issue. Don´t think the halfords own 5/40 fully synthetic is bad though.

Will thicker oil give better protection from big end failure?

I imagine it would be similar to Motul 300V 15W-50 which I use, and it seems to run great
