just like to hi to everyone just bought my new subaru impreza wrx (import) yesterday afternoon, and oh my gosh what a big improvement over the 2 litre sports !! , absolute love the car but 2 things wrong as i got it cheap cheap

1st one is that i drove 100mile from where i bought it from and 3 mile away from my house i beleive the near/side front wheel bearing as all of suddan packed in , i thought bearings give you a warning signs before collapsing, there greese all over on the inside of alloy, or could it be something different? , i was talking to my freind but i dont know to believe him or not he was saying it could be somthing to do with the drive shafts ???

2nd one is the car runs fine but rarely the car will loose all power when i put my foot down slightly to overtake, so when i slow down to basically a stand still or over a bump it kick back in and take off, also my freind said it may be to do with my battery as when i come to stand still it stall and also when i was traveling one of my lights where dimmer then the other ???

any help / advise be very much appreciated

also what bhp do these cars run at ? , lad i bought it off told me its got a TD05 Turbo ? , 1 cat been taken out, big backbox (dunno if its full stainless system) thats all i know but it may have other mods done to it, all i know its fast enough for me at 22year old (nightmare for insurers saying you got to be over 25 to own one of these cars but finally got it in the end)
