Default seen tha light

just been to a company in guildford specializing in jap cars and talked about options for my engine re-build or replace ?
told them that i was thinkin about gettin api racing to do the work as they highly recomended on here , but when i mentioned them i got told that they have had bad experiences in the past with api and that knocked me bak abit but i havent taken their word for it as the people on this forum speak highly of api for a reason and the icing on the cake is seeing zen performance reccomending them think ive made my choice . company in guildford obviously chattin ****e to get buisiness wasnt to impressed with their attitude either

I think, from what I have read, the best companies are, in no particular order:

API
S4Y
Engine tuner
TFS
ZEN
RCM

and a few others I haven't mentioned, I would only get one of these subaru specific garages to carry out anything on my car!

Give the guy a break ffs. He was looking information on who to do the rebuild of his engine. He asked around and wanted API to do it but heard a bad report but due to the general SN opinion of API he has more or less made his mind up from what he's read. No wonder Subaru Drivers have a bad name if this is the way you act towards someone.

actually the company in guilford are quite well known in the drag racing scene and are quite a big company , and they are half hour away so obviously that would of been good for servicing and if anythin goes wrong in the near future . but api are at least a 2 hour drive from me so obviously like ne1 else im gonna check the nearer garage first and it wasnt wot i was hoping for !im not gonna just decide off the top of my head who i want to give 2-3000 quid without checkin em out! ive had **** luck in the past with mechanics! u might b stupid but im not !

if they think api are bad then they don't have a clue mate, so your better off else where, such as API.

two places i'd trust to build me an engine, API or scoobyclinic and thats it.

Its well worth talking to Stew or Dan at TFS they certainly know their stuff and they are very good price wise, they recently done some work on my spec c and i was very pleased with the work they done, i will definitely be going back when my scoob needs anything else done, as for api I've only heard good things with regards their engine rebuilds.
