Default Advice needed on modding a stock scoob

I'm looking at a stock wrx or sti which I plan to buy within the next week. I will obviously be insured as unmodded. Once I get it if I decided to fit a new exhaust or panel filter do I inform the insurers straight away or wen I renew?

I see loads of posts of people saying "just changed this, just changed that" - that's all.

Also one car I'm looking at is down to 90% on rear pads (discs r fine), how much to change the pads approx?

Cheers guys

Any modification will invalidate your insurance straight away unless you declare them

inform insurance as soon as you have put mod on or even before because your premium could increase due to the mod(s) you are intending to do.if you dont inform them it wil make your policy invalid as stated above.
