right i have had my skirts, spats and p1 splitter colour coded from a guy who has already done my spoiler and roof scoop last year

pick them up and the new stuff is no where near the same colour

been doing a search on internet on subaru paint codes and this keeps appearing

2000
Red Mica Pearl 82F
Pure or Aspen White 51E
Titanium Pearl 89N
Ruby Pearl 947
Sedona Red Pearl 94H
Red Mica94H
Blue Ridge Pearl Metallic 95H
Deep Blue Mica 95H
Dark Blue Pearl 416
Deep Green Metallic 307

now there is two 95h listed are they the same ?
also does any one know a site that lists what colours go into them to make the colour

I had my scoop done in 95H and it was nowhere near also. Speak to your sprayer, as there are two shades of 95H, as I was informed. When mine was done they used the one with green flecks after and it turned out to be a lot closer!

Had same problem with my 94H red mica car when I had bumper, skirts etc. done, but in my case my sprayer called me after doing one skirt to tell me the colours didn't match. At first he thought it was down to UV damage (worse with red than any other colour), but he said they were too far apart for it to be that. He eventually tracked down 3 different 94H hues and used the right one, match is spot on.

I own and run a body/mechanical shop and can you that dependent on which paint scheme is being used there can a whole host of shades to 1 colour, ford are usually the worst for it,ive got 7 shades of ford panther black lol, which is why i always take the chips down to the customers car before they leave so no hiccups like you've got now happen, that said uv light can have quite an adverse affect on some colours silver being one of them due to the amount of metalic in them, although i havent suffered problems with 95H myself.
ps the deep green metalic is actually deep high land greenits on my car very nice

I thought Blue Ridge Pearl Metallic 95H was a USA only colour option (from about 2004) ?

I am having my new M3 V8 resprayed , I want it done exactly the same as my E46 M3 , Estoril blue , but the sprayer said there was 3 shades so he gave me a chip chart to match it up , non of the shades on the chip chart match !
The sprayer is now sending someone from the paint supplier to my workshop tomorrow and they have something they put on my car to get a perfect colour match , can't they do the same for you to get a perfect match ?

All depends Ian as not all bodyshops have contacts like the one you deal with or i do,the tool your on about is a paint colour spectrum anylizer which will give very accurate matches, the machine will have all the info for a certain paint scheme which ever is installed and give a mixture or formula to mix to get the right colour.

heres a quick pic

its really strange as you put the splitter against wing and it seems ok but not against the bumper ..

yet the bumper matches the wing

ask your sprayer what he used on the plastic before painting, was it light in colour or dark,if it was dark then he needs to add alittle jet black to the mix, about 2/4grams should do it mate

It should also have plastic primer undercoat, it maybe because the splitter is PU and the bumper is different

went back to sprayer with bits and the car this time , deffo looks like the bumper has been resprayed before and the match on the skirts is not as bad , good news he said he will spend a saturday morning trying to find the right match for the splitter , only issue with that is the skirts dont match so looks like he will have to do these again

so the splitter will be sprayed to match the bumper and the skirts to match the rest of the car

fitted the skirts when i got back from the sprayers

I had both sides of my car painted a couple of months ago and the paint match is perfect to the rest of the panels, its mica blue as well so I spose it all depends on the colour
