My 2007 Hawkeye WRX next service will be the 3yr/30k.
The nearest Subaru dealership is RN Golden at Huddersfield but have also seen a few threads on here singing the praises of Sheffield Subaru Services.
Basically going to RN Golden will cost me an extra £94 (£441 v £347) so is it worth it for the official Subaru stamp. Anyone have experience of Golden's? and do Sheffield Subaru Services use genuine Subaru parts?

Going to a reputable Subaru specialist to get your car serviced instead of an official stealership will do your service history no harm at all IMHO. They will use Subaru OE service parts and do the job to as good as or higher standard than a Subaru stealership, and more often than not a more cost effective solution.

Stealerships do this kind of thing every single and day as it's their job, end of, but in my experience very few stealers have the same genuine enthusiasm for the brand that a Subaru specialist has.

In fairness though my local stealership are pretty damn good and the service manager there is a proper petrolhead, racer, and all round top bod.

Ask others what they think of their local stealers.

you will get good service at RN Goldens. Having used them several times I have no complaints. However I personally use and would recommend Richard Henry Motorsport at Bradford. Awesome service and at a good price.

I called in at Richard Henry's today to have my car looked at and i have to say it was a nice experience, the chap i spoke to was more than happy to give me advice and spend 5mins having a look at my car which turned out to be ok in the end.

I will defenatly be taking my car there for any future work.

All the work on my car has been done by paul at sheffield subaru service,and YES they do use genuine subaru parts.The quality of work is excellent to say the least with prices and service that beats anyone else by far,most of the sheff scoobys members use sheffield subaru service for work on there cars.Cant rate them highly enough,fantastic family run company friendly and down to earth,once you`ve used them you wont go anywhere else.

i have never had any service work done at RN Goldens,but have bought many a part from them. the lad who works in the parts dep has always been excellent with the service he has given me.

Howard @HDC subaru in Hebden Bridge had suspension work done by him, very good service and a nice bloke gives excellent advice.

Sheffield Subaru service for me mate.always used them for all my Subaru needs.service is second to none.always gone above and beyond to help me with my pride and joy.
