Default How much for labour to lower my scoob?

Hi all

Changed the suspension this week, but the springs make it sit up about 30mm higher than it was on my old set. How much am I looking at for labour to get it changed?

Cheers

Joseph

depends were you go really but it isnt a small job as on the front you need to reset the camber angles/tracking as well so £200 ish give or take if you go to right place mate

i changed from standard springs on my classic to 30mm lowering springs,no camber angles/tracking done tec,all 4 tyres would wear completely even and no vibration through steering wheel etc, never had any probs.i would expect a decent garage to charge 2 hours labour,3 at the outside.

thats alright when youve got the original shocks on that have never been off and you can mark it all up on the washers and such,if he marked his up before the change of shocks he's done already great if he hasnt then theres a fair chance its out already and will need reseting and 2-3 hours is right but at 35-50 pound an hour and track/camber reset £200 ish
And track and camber out wouldnt cause a vibration any way nor would you see any uneven trye wear for a good few miles unless serverly out mate

99greenwagon - really wouldn't bother myself mate! No way skilled enough!

prodriverules, EH52WRX and 99greenwagon, cheers for the info, shouldn't be too hard to take the current shocks off, they were only changed this week, spent alot this month so may have to wait then, getting a decat downpipe and center fitted on Tue hopefully and probably some new tyres plus some other bits and bobs.

Thanks again guys.

Do it yourself, it's a piece of ****, I've just done mine.

Once you've done it you'll think ****, that was easy, I've just saved myself a few quid.

I wouldn't let labour anywhere near my car after Blair and Brown.

Would have appreciated that mate but with it being my daily driver I wouldn't want to take the risk. Haven't done anything this mechanical since I had a little firsta over 10 years ago! I'll just wait for payday and get someone to do it.

Hopefully I can watch them changed as then I'm pretty sure I could do it then.

Cheers for the replies lads

Joseph
