Default Air con / climate control problems

Guys having an issue with the climate control.

As you may of guessed it's not in an Impreza but in my work horse a

1998 vectra 2.5ltr v6 CDX auto estate.

The LCD screens all light up and I can select low to high and all the temps in-between as well as adjust the blower from low to high but the temperature stays the same, which is cold air by the way. It won't blow hot air at all

Checked all the fuses and they are all fine, before I call vauxhall and book it in can you suggest anything it may be?

Or has anyone had the same problem?

Could the air con unit need to be re-gased?

Any help would be great before I get stung by the stealers

the adjustment from hot to cold is electronic so it could just be the switch or valve not responding, its common on some of the ford range, havent changed any on vaux's though mate so wouldnt take this gospel

Stevie,

This is apparently a common problem with veccies, I used to own a Vec-c in between scoobs, have you had a look on vectra-c.com? there are/were loads of threads re air con on there...(they also answer q's about the b's).

Cheers,
Paul
