Default 55 plate wrx sti question

hi all went to look at a 55 plate wrx sti near me at a garage its advertised at £9250 which i thought was quite reasonable for a 55 plate sti and had 46000 miles, but an i say but it didnt have the adjustable dccd i thought they had these from 05 plates .
it was also a maltese import with a wrsport backbox so no ppp

edit also seen this ,never heard of it and it doesnt look to have dccd either and hasnt got the brembos upfront

The A-DCCD was "standard" on the UK cars but the A-DCCD was actually an option (as per the rest of Europe) that was added to all UK spec cars sold by IM (hence why they added 1k to the price ) so its up to you, could affect the resale value but your buying it slightly cheaper anyway, or just look for another one (or haggle well )

As said that's not an STi.

It's one of those 'special' WRX models that had the STi interior.

The malta thing is a red herring, loads of Imprezas around 2005 for sale seem to be these Euro imports (and I have one too ).

it does have the wider track and is def the 2005 model but its a euro import either malta or cypress has the up dated dash guess it wasn`t specc`s with the dccd being a euro car

it won`t have the locking wheel nuts unless a previous owner has fitted one

also prob won`t have an alarm or tracker unless again a prev owner has fitted one.

does have the better seats though.

Nice looking car, I would prefer it without DCCD having owned a 55 plate with it.
...Just my opinion though

I have a 55 plate type UK with the DCCD. First thing I did was shove all the power to the rear Got bored though and now it sits in automatic all the time LOL.
Noticed on the add that tax was £400 a year......... Mine has a 6 months disc in it and was £134.

55 plate will be £215 per annum

Malta cars have an alarm (just not the sigma one) but no tracker (unless the 1st owner had it fitted at purchase)

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1808617.htm

No red stitching on handbrake or steering wheel.
Has a 5 speed gear lever.
No thumb wheel for DCCD.
WRX scoop.

Someone's just added a couple of STi badges on to a WRX special edition.

V5 should say what it is.

http://www.motordepot.co.uk/car-supe...ype+uk+4dr.htm

Much better base to start with and may have been modded already as the tail pipe looks very non std.
