Default new car

Hello all being new to the whole subaru scene i am thinking of getting a scooby around the 03/04 year, can anyone help me in terms of advice ie:

What to look for?
is full service history vital?
are they reliable?
service and parts cost? what is a realistic mpg? (i do 35 miles round trip at an average speed of 60 due to traffic)
what is a respectable price for one in this year bracket?

if anyone could answer that would be great, i look forward to you replies and hopefully i will have a few pictures to put up soon.

hello, for about £9000 you can get a impreza wrx sti or a prodrive with probably 50,000 miles or more,at that price you will be looking for a 01 to 02 or 03 or 04 plate ,would probably be high mileage ,full service history is always vital in any car but if the car is done a lot of miles then you should be looking for one with full service history
about 25 mpg but thats without a de-cat.

or you could get a impreza wrx for £6500 you could get a 03 with about 60,000 miles on the clock

I reckon you could get an 05 STi PPP for around £9500 with low mileage too.

for that money mate you would be looking at a newage impreza wrx ,i know that the 2.0 is a wrx i think and the 2.5 one is a newer impreza
