Default If you had £2000 to spend..... what car?

Put my trusty megane coupe up for sale, well advert in the window. Looking to replace it with something relativly quick, insurance friendly ish, something not too old etc, etc. Top of my ever changing list is a gti 6/rallye. I use the car daily to and from work but i really want to do a track day this year. Any thoughts? I was thinking of taking out a loan to get either an inegra or another impreza but with moving house a few weeks ago i dont really want to do that.

A 1997 Classic Type UK with 120k miles and one owner should slot into your requirements at £2000.

id look for a nice clio williams, quite a few on pistonheads just now, values really dropped on them, cracking cars, brilliant handling, i had one for a few years, loved it. 150bhp standard. sound great too with a induction kit and a catless exhaust, great for trace days too.

If you dont mind looking a right lady/gay, the Ford Puma 1.7 is totally awsome, my missus had one when we met and I loved driving it (with a bag on my head in the dark), cheap as hell to run too! One of my mates has just bought one but then he can be a little..................polite! some times
