Car wont start

Well

went out to the car today to start it and it primes up as normal then when i turn the key i hear one click from the engine bay and the alarm bleeps once.

Luckily i just took my missus car to work the day.

Is my battery GOOSED?

Yeah, got to be the battery as if it was an alarm problem the starter motor wouldn't click or anything. The alarm beep is probably a low voltage warning or where it is resetting when you attempt to start the car as there is not enough voltage.

I had same thing last week..newage cars have an intelligent alternator, drive around with your lights on now and again to keep the battery charged, that's what I was told to do...all fine now.
