Welcome
When you say a lot of work keeping them on the road, do you mean are they expensive to run?

That answer is simple yes, compared to a ford focus, fiat punto etc, your servicing costs can set you back 600 quid for a major, decent tyres are 80-120 a corner, front brake discs are 200 for the pair without the pads (oem items) fuel is 125 for optimax a litre, they do around 16mpg in town, high 20's to low 30's on a run if you take it steady, parts can be expensive, a replacement clutch will set you back the best part of 500 quid etc (before fitting).

hope that helps

service intervals are every 10,000 miles on new age. some people do an oil change in between service but i never do. i,ve done 63000 miles from new and my car has never missed a beat. most keep the diff in auto however you can adjust for some tail out fun. in my experience it,s been a good experience owning the scoob

10k/1 year, services vary in price and most owners will have it serviced more regulary than the 10k indicated
The 03 wont have the A-DCCD, they only came as standard on UK cars from 2005 (the better car btw, even over the WR1), though most JDM STI's come with it as standard from 2003 (and quick rack plus auto water spray, something you dont get on uk cars )
