How good is your German reading capabilities? I know of two German Subaru forums that could be of help to you.

If you have got a turbo Impreza, you may notice that they are quite rare over here and not many Subaru dealers actually know what they are doing when it comes too service / inspections etc. In NRW most owners use Autohaus Wingenter, in fact i know that there are a few people who drive over 200 miles just to get their car done there. Even Subaru Germany uses them to restore old Scoobys.

I found the following on the Subaru Germany website, but i have never been to any of them:

Autohaus Hentschel GmbH
Vahrenwalder Straße 141
30165 Hannover

Autohaus Steinbrecher
Lindenweg 10
31180 Giesen

Maussner Kraftfahrzeuge
77er Straße 52
29221 Celle

I am in Germany alot these days.
BMWhere, Worzel and Lee, who replied earlier, are the German residents on here i know off
There is the occasional German meet. But havent heard anything on the grapevine yet.
My car is usually in the UK but makes occasional forays over the channel.

@ Steve, actually there are quite a few meets in the pipeline, a lot of people have left the Blue Subaru Germany club forums and now use this platform:
http://www.subi-evo-treff.com/index.php

To the insurance question, it depends really, what car do you have? I use the Hamburg Mannheimer, they are not the cheapest, but they have a top notch service that cant be faulted, especially when owning the only P1 in Germany.

To compare insurance company's offers for your car try this site:
http://www.check24.de/versicherungen...g-vergleichen/

Depending factors over here are:

Car make, type and how many of these have had accidents in Germany. This will give you the so called "Typenklasse"

Your no claims, your UK NC can be recognised by a German company if your lucky.

The Town that you live in, that will be called the "Regional klasse"

PS which is German for BHP and your age also including the age of the car and type of insurance you are looking for. Either Haftpflicht , Haftpflicht with Teilkasko, or Vollkasko.
