We have one of those batteries in the house alarm! Its used if the main power is cut to keep the alarm active.
Maybe not a tracker but a defense if the power from the car battery drains out or is cut? supplies the alarm with power to sound the siren when power is cut or drained?

It's always interesting to see things like this but you have to consider the whole world can see the pics and where you have found the battery, which doesn't help when Imprezas get nicked.

Its a shame isn't it? we as a community of enthusiasts spend many hundreds of pounds making our cars secure only for it all to be undone so easily, then we wonder why our insurance premiums spiral ever upwards

Tbh if that IS the tracker, what i **** place to install it in the first place?!!! I know for a fact my tracker isn't in that location anyway, so its hardly showing theiving c*nts where they are located is it?? They have all been installed by different people/ dealers so will all be in different places.

If someone nicks the car then they could use a ratchet to remove the rear seats.
I am being real. It's your call if you want to jeopardise Subaru security.
As long as no-one touches your car eh?

Lee, as a matter of simple courtesy to those who've asked, is there any chance you could edit your earlier posts to remove the links to the photos?
No it clearly isn't a matter of national security, but it's certainly a matter of car security. While it's also likely that anyone with a determined intent to nick one of these cars will already know where to look for tracking devices, you might just be telling some toe-rag something he didn't already know here,. Is it actually doing you any harm to edit your posts, especially given that your original question has now been answered?
If you end up putting noses out of joint as a result of leaving them up, it's also worth bearing in mind that the same people may be less likely to help you next time you have a question. What goes around, etc.

Still not sure it is a tracker just an old box with a battery in it,thats all it is i never mentioned tracker that was mentioned by others so do they need to be removed aswell ,get the moderators to remove the whole thread would be easyier.
Point taken but still non the wiser what its actually doing,
Of course im aware of the conscequencys regarding car security, as iv'e had acouple nicked over the years myself, but like what was said earlier the company's that fit these trackers put them in different places all the time ,its not as if we drive around announcing that we have a tracker fitted and oh bye the way its behind the dash board or its under the carpet, these organised criminal car thieves nick our cars and strip them irriguardless of whether there is a tracker fitted to the car,I understand that this thread is probebly putting visual evidence into a criminals mind that oh yes we can look here or there so yes ok please moderators delete this whole thread no more said (still dont know what the **** it is anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
