Default Is this a 20G?

Hi, i've been a bit rash and bought what was advertised as a TD05 20G.
On further investigation, i'm now thinking it's a front entry converted 16g. Whats your thoughts? I've paid for it tonight, but it's not been sent yet.

Thanks,Mit

Those 2 use the same comp housing then? I thought that was the difference between the 16,18 and 20 was larger housing? Or is it the cartridge inside thats larger?

Thanks,Mit

compresser houseing and compresser wheel is bigger on 20g

think 16g compresser wheel is 49mm,18g is 51or52mm and 20g is 54mm across ,long time since had one

Comparing the 16 g in you photo to the one in mine, it's def a 16 g, it has the same step in the compressor intake pipe, which the 18g doesn't.

Well, the pics aren't of the turbo i've bought. The guy listed it with the wrong pics(ebay), and assures me it's a 20g i'll get. We'll have to see....

Thanks,Mit

Mit, hope it works out ok for you. I was looking at that '20g' and the picture is a 16g for sure.
The guy selling says he has reciept, athough looking at his feedback he breaks cars and sells bits/cars ect.

If it is a genuine blouch 20g, you could have a bargin.

I bought it at work, using my phone, and couldn't see the pics very well. Once i gave it a proper look at home, i got my suspicions.
I spoke to him on the phone, he said he'd killed his box, and needed to fix it asap, hence the turbo sale.
How did you know it was a blouch?

Looks smaller than a 20G, I have my old 20G in my garage which is no longer working which looks slightly bigger then what you have posted, unless he has confused the images. Hopefully hasn't confused the turbo and sold you a 16G..

Get him to send lots of close up pictures of what you'll really get before he sends it.
Once its in your hands he could wriggle like a very wriggly thing to keep his money.

Oh and whats the ebay number for this?

I dont think that is a 20g. Genuine 20g turbos come with engraving's & mitsubishi housing. That is not a mitsubishi housing if im correct.

Yes, def not a 20g, but it's not the correct pics of the turbo, we'll see. I'll post up some correct ones when it turns up.

Thanks, mit
