Low on water is the usual scenario for the above issue or an air lock.

Its an air lock ... BUT .... it could be caused by headgasket failure..... you dont neccessarily get water in the oil or vise a versa..... remove the turbo cooling hose from the header tank and fill the engine from there ..... with the headertank cap off... run at idle with heater on hot and heater fan on .... when engine warmed up .... switch off , top up coolant with hose reconnected to header tank ...... recheck when cold and check every day before useing the car untill you either confidant its ok ..... or you know its headgasket failure
worth checking the thermostat too

I dont have a pic , sorry .... its easy to see which hose it is tho ... its about one inch in diameter and runs from the back of the header tank to the turbo coolant pipe...... I,m assumeing you,ve checked and cant see any water leaking from anywhere ?
