Default Tyre Question

Hi All,

The front tyres on my hawkeye STI could do with replaceing.
The current ones are 225 45 17 90W.
If I change both fronts, is the 90W imortant to match the rears i.e I have been offered 91Y, 91V and 91W

isn't 90 the load rating?

If so then 91 is fine, as you've gone up not down.

90 = 600kgs
91=615kgs

If you start mixing compounds/tread patterns you're going to introduce many variables into the handling no-one could for see.

Try to stick to same make/tread pattern on all 4.
