Default turbo up pipe

i know this is on here somewhere but cant find it .......my turbo up pipe will be here soon now when i put it on my 03 WRX do i have to put the lambda sensors in it or leave them out because they were a git to get of my astra so i was going to buy new one.........many thanks

I've just brought a Ninja Sports cat. Which is the up pipe I think.

It has a hole for the Lamda Sensor but from what I've been told I will need to fit it otherwise it will set my engine light off.

Also yours is a newer model so I'd imagine same thing will apply. I'm sure someone will be able to explain better than me lol

The ninja sport cat is the downpipe. The uppipe is the exhaust between the manifold and the turbo (It normally houses a small cat in there)

Yes fit the sensors mate, but you will need your ecu to have the resulting CEL (check engine light) mapped to bypass it. Plus if you've already had the car mapped (by JGM, Dynamix e.t.c) then i'd recommend having the map tweaked a little to account for the faster turbo spool and resulting boost spike.

cheers lads ....the car has not been mapped yet but i can reset the CEL by disconnect the battery for a bit is that right

so if it comes back on the only way to keep the CSL off is a remap is that rite

That wont work on a newage car.

ECU can only be reset via the OBD port under the steering wheel.

The CEL is easy enough to switch off when doing the mapping - I would get it mapped asap
