Default oil squirters

hi everyone...i am getting my rebuild done and bought a closed deck block...now i have heard alot of people talk about oil squirters...is this a must or isit just extra oil feed to the internals?how do they work and and how are they fitted?

isit some kind of kit you can get from any performance place?isit highly recommended?

Do they also add to the lubrication of the bores.
I gather these needs are otherwise supplied by oil thrown off the big end bearings?

isit just extra grooves or holes that squirt from the crank shaft or con rod to the bottom of the piston?i would think so to cool the pistons

look into the block from the deck side and you will see them in the bottom of the bore.. on the subaru engine they are a bolt in nozzle etc..

Fitted as standard to closed deck blocks.

are they on all close decks?i will have a look into this and simon you will be getting a call from me after my rebuild for a simtek

They are not fitted in all of the CDB.

all of the ones I have seen internally have had.. maybe just lucky
