Fuel Warning Light
I have a '98 STi and even with the needle right on the 'E' line* the low fuel warning light doesn't come on. Is the light broken or do I still have plenty of fuel left? I don't want to find out the hard way.
Thanks.
*Yes, yes I know I shouldn't let it get that low but there were 4 accidents in 10 miles on the M11 yesterday afternoon.

Yup, same here - my warning light definitely works, I would check the bulb in the dash is okay 1st as I reckon thats the easiest place to start

*****UPDATE*****
according to the owners manual,..its only there to show you what side of the vehicle the fuel door is on. not to show that it is open.

I have a Uk MY96 phase 1 classic, no mention of a fuel low warning light in the manual and ive never had one come on...yet! though i am well known for red line fever and an aversion to petrol stations lol
