There are two options.
Option a) is this LED Dome Light and I believe darms has this fitted to his Impreza.
Option b) 269 2 x High Brightness Xenon White SMT 11 - 16v by Ultra Leds U.K I had one like this in my Impreza and it was fine. So much so I put one in my Yaris.

Some people rate LED ones highly (but I don't). In my classic I replaced the standard festoon bulb awhile ago with a "Super Bright" white 8-LED festoon bulb from fleabay and it was rubbish so I've left mine standard for now. Cost around £8 too compared with a few quid for the standard one. My mate, again for a classic Impreza, replaced his with an alleged even brighter LED festoon bulb with god knows how many LED's and it was still crap after £16 spent. Maybe worth looking on an auto bulb website to see if there's any uprated bulb you can put in there like the "high-low" type that still draw the same amount of current but put out more Watts.

Hi, not sure about the bulb fitment in yours, but i replaced the interior light in mine for the same reason with one of these LED arrays. I think its brighter, and the tech has improved a bit since I bought mine (from here) so they should definitely be better than OEM now I reckon.
Hope that helps
