Default 96 sti to 99 uk 2000 how much will I save on fuel?

I recently sold my sti (albeit reluctantly) but every vehicle that I have test drove, as a replacement has left me underwhelmed. However I have recently looked into buying a uk 2000 impreza, despite the £200 a year saving in insurance do you reckon the fuel consumption will be significantly less?

Not really as you will be trying to make it go like the STI, and in return mpg will take a hit.

MY99 UK PPP driven like you stole it 12mpg.

MY 99 UK PPP driven normally on country roads 25mpg at best.

MY 99 UK PPP driven by my wife totally offboost for 200 miles 30 mpg.

I would say that your not looking at much difference in MPG over the STi.

i gues one thing to perhaps consider is that a uk car will run on standard 95 ron fuel so i gues a small saving everytime you fill up.

i agree with above though you will always be trying to get it to go like the sti.

could have re-mapped your last sti, get much better fuel consumption after.

They are reccomended to use 97 ron even the uk but do know of people to use 95 ron with no problems

I got a lot more miles out of a tank on the 00 uk scoob than i did from either my type r or 555

Gearing is a little better than the jap imports. All depends how you drive it. I agree that you'll probably be driving it harder to get it to go like the sti though. Get it remapped though that will help with the mpg.

Well I finally did the right thing, after looking at countless mondeos, lagunas and even a toyota prius. I bought a 2001 classic I Just could not get used to driving a car with a silly flat bonnet
