West Mids Import Servicing and MOT
Am looking for recommendations please for an import friendly garage local to me (Stourbridge) that would be suitable for servicing and MOT of my spec C.

The car is Litchfield supplied and all servicing work up to now has been done by Powerstation, but I was looking for somewhere closer to home just for a 6 month oil and filter change and MOT.
Any others please?

Check this thread. I asked for Bucks and Northants sepcialists...
Looks like there are some in Leicester and Warwick, not sure it that suits you better?

Ivan @ Foresters Subaru in Bilston as closest. Ex Subaru mechanic set up about 5 Years ago.
He has imported a couple of FSTI's from Japan himself.
Helpful bloke reasonable rates & has a little tyre business.
I got 4 No 17" Part worn Pirellis £98 fitted balanced the lot a couple of weeks ago.

Ivan @ Foresters Subaru will sort out an MOT for you, by the way they are members of the Good Garage Scheme as well.
They have also done inter Garage Work with Powerstation.

Im in Bromsgrove and use Thwaites developments in Warwick.Can do anything for you and is VERY customer focused at a good price.Plenty of good feedback on this site.They are based in Warwick-about 30 minutes drive.
Not heard of any of the other local garages mentioned,i'm afraid

I am in the Wordsley / kingswinford area so not far from you,
Afraid I can't help with any recommendations for the service as i have not had one done on my 53 wrx as yet.
I have found this place on the internet who I was thinking of trying
www.centralsubaru.com they are in willenhall. Maybe someone else can say if they are any good.
I had my MOT done at dk cars / wall heath service station in wall heath near kingswinford as it's 5 mins from me. I was very happy with them there. They are part of the good garage scheme and did a MOT for £30, it sailed through. I was expecting the tryes to be borderline and would not have been suprised if one had failed but he said to me that the tyres were getting low and I may need to keep an eye on them. Thery don't seem to try and make money out of you which some do try when they don't charge a lot for an MOT.
I am taking the westfield there for an MOT and the missus has just had a service done on her Clio. Their number is 01384 401955

Thanks again for all replies, am still debating whether to try local or stick with Litchfield/Powerstation and the fuel cost getting there and back!!!

Stourbridge location here too. On my 4th scooby import now.
Always taken most work (inc the Elise) to Top Gear Automotive in Wolverhampton. They are Lotus/TVR specialists, but Kevin there is a Impreza Rally wrench and knows his way around Impreza's very well. He came out to my house once and changed the rocker cover gaskets and I never had a problem after. Charged me £45!
As for MOT's he has a friendly one (CAT's etc)
He has glowing reports on the Lotus forum. Highly recommended
BTW - Simon at Chemix Audnam for your alignments - he's excellent and uses a Hunter set-up (Space-Age)

Used to live in Pelsall. Used Forresters and can give Ivan a big thumbs up - knows his stuff and reasonable prices.
Also used API just outside Warwick and first class service work and MOT's. In fact last year I drove from here back for a service and MOT

I have been a customer of all wolves scooby garages and through experience have found
Forrester's -
Ivan very ignorrant and took something back 3 times for it to be finished right , I have friends who highly recommend him ,They say it must of been a bad day for him , never been back
Central Subaru -
Daz very helpful and has a lot of experience with subaru's , never had a bad job come from him , very good rates
Pole Position -

good advice above, I have used Central Subaru and will be going to try Pole Postion next week for a service and new discs & pads fitted. I have never used Forresters before though.
