Default Longest trip for a service/repairs?

What's the furthest you've driven to get your car serviced? Back in the mid 1990's, I used to have my R5 Turbo 2 serviced in East Lulworth, near the Dorset coast. I lived in Leicestershire at the time. It was just over 220 miles each way. In fact I once drove the 180-odd miles of Motorway section all the way from J20 of the M1 (South Leics), round the M25 and down the M3 to the Bournemouth ring road without changing down from 5th gear once due to a badly failing clutch (it was in pieces!).

After a couple of years of all that, I cut the regular trip down to a mere 70 miles each way, thanks to finding a specialist mechanic in North London.

Fortunately I will be getting my Subaru serviced next week only 8 miles from home.

Used to travel 350 miles each way for my cars annual rolling road check over. This was done on route to see my parents near Manchester from the north of Scotland. So a total of 760 miles there and back.
