Default Check Engine light came on, as I was driving through Stoke

I pulled over for a while then it was O.K. afterwards. Any idea what I should look out for, please?

I'm on holiday, visiting Stoke. Where do local Scooby owners take their cars for a reliable and honestly-priced repair?

I'm heading for the lakes, so need to check it out and make sure all's well?

Thanks, if you're able to offer advice.

Peter.

P reg, 2l turbo. Light went out when I turned off the engine, and remained off for a 15-min drive after that. No guarentee it'll stay off tomorrow, though.

was you a bit heavy on the foot at the time it came on? im sure im right that new age and uk classics had det warning wen giving it large so to spk? that the check light came on as a warning. if its still off in the morning i wouldnt worry to much but get it checked when you get home cos it should be loged in the ECU memory what the fault was.

I'm thinking if I don't get it checked and repaired quickly, it could ruin my holiday in the Lakes. Don't want to break down top of Wrynose Pass?

Can anyone from Stoke recommend a Garage, please?

Since it's a classic impreza you can manually check for error codes from this link Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Scoobypedia / Scoobypedia under the ECU heading.
