what to do now simtek or ecutek

Default what to do now simtek or ecutek

Hi all had the engine rebuilt and nearly done 500 miles run in so its going for either a ecutek, simtek or ???, only really want to spend £1200. whats your opinions on best way to go, simtek sounds good multiple maps and als but been told ecutek has better knock control

hello,
just had forged rebuild myself and just run in im going for the simtek,loads of extra features over the ecu tek and you get rid of the maf which has to be a bonus

Second that,


I heard Simtek are in the middle of designing a new map which will cope with knock, and back off if detected, atm it can only detect knock, but the pro's far out weigh the cons

Nothing else for 1200ish worth considering imho
Very happy with them as a product that does exactly what it says on the tin

ive had my02 sti ecutek mapped not happy with it KEEP AWAY!!!! lol

if you look at simons signature they are all your options mostly available, but simtek is the newest big thing.

ive got a simtek with anti lag and launch control. if you had the choice, then yes get simtek mate

Proper knock control and the option to run a wideband lambda all coming very soon

I think that would be the big off putter for me though in conjunction with something like a phormula KS3 or 4 i would be a little happier but with the updated software, how much to remap it?

No idea, speak to Martyn at EngineTuner, they mapped mine as part of a engine build..

Running a Simtek on my 98 type R. Very good piece of kit. Has been mapped by AndyF. Bit lumpy at times due to having no MAF but all in all very pleased with the way the car runs.

995 fitted and mapped at enginetuner, that's where mine is going in a few weeks

im running a simtek on mine and just had a forged build cant complain about the simtek at all jase at area 52 done a mint job

I have an autronic on my car from cold starts to driving at slow speeds and driving on full boost the car is faultless.
