Uk 300 MY01 Advice please
Went to look at a 51 plate uk300 today with 70K on the clock, it was up for £7.5K. I was well impressed with it. Lovely car, in mint condition (bar the wheels which had dull spokes).
Only problem is that it doesnt have the PPP fitted and the numbered plaque is missing. It is a Uk300 as i checked the V5 document. The car is standard bar a backbox and has loads and loads of history.
Are these sought after cars and will they hold thir money better than a standard Bug eye WRX?
Cheers for any help.

dont think i would bother with that one if the numbered plaque is missing ,have a look on pistonheads or autotrader there is a few on there 7.5k ,i too like uk300's did it still have the rear prodrive spoiler on

Yea the spoiler was on, everthing was as it should have been. Im not too bothered about the plaque missing. I have no doubt that the car is genuine as it had more history than i have seen in a long time with it. It is from a subaru dealer who has been dealing in them for 15 years.

As stated above, this car is NOT fitted with the PPP kit. I am not questioning if the car is genuine or not. I was just wanting peoples opinions as to whether or not they will depriciate in value as much as a standard WRX bug eye. Currently they make a lot more than an equivilant age/milage WRX.

post a link
The UK300 is a limited edition but part of the unloved era of the "bugeye"....... not part of the heritage of subaru like the 22B, RB5 etc..
Don't plan on buying it and making money lol

Nope, all extras on the uk300 were cosmetic. Ive done my research before I viewed it. PPP was an extra just like on all WRX models.

Probably, and if didnt have my daughter I would have probably been looking at getting a civic. I just think that the UK300 is much nicer than a standard WRX styling wise, and ive been after an impreza for a while now.
Looking at what the UK300 models seem to make its very hard to tell if it is priced right or not. You see standard WRX models for similar money on the net. I think im just worried about getting a car and then 3 years down the line it only being worth £2000! LOL.
It would be a huge improvement on my 1999 BMW E46 316SE with 156,000 miles on the clock!

It was a marketing move to shift 300 units at a time when bug eyes were not the most popular model around. They changed the bug eyed headlights & tarted up everything in general.
You had to ask for the PPP to be fitted the same as you would with any standard car purchased. OTR standard price was £24,995 & with PPP £26,595.
Mine replaced my P1 when I fancied a change & got just as much, if not more, attention than the P1 when out & about.
