Default What tuner shall I go to.

I have a standard 07 sti Hawkeye, and I want to tune it to a stage one level of around 340 bhp, with a similar torque figure.I live in North Wales, and though I dont mind travelling, I suppose the near it is to home the better. I have in mind at present to possibly take it to either TSL or Powerstation, for their stage one package.
I want to incorporate a sports cat, and it not be to loud on the exhaust front.
I would gratefully accept your thoughts and advice, in particular any of you that have in the past taken your 2.5 Hawkeyes to this to this state of tune.

I use Api myself and would not take my car to anyone else, David and the team really know their stuff and have gone above and beyond to help.

If you are looking for a mapper again I use bob Rawle from Br developments, and I am currently running a group buy for mapping for the end of august early September so check it out.

I would of thought you would be best with full Decat exhaust 3" if you are concerned of mot time then a sports cat, Hayward and Scott are nice systems not too loud. Along with a updated pannel filter or caik and an updated fuel pump from walbro and the
map and I would of thought you should see 340-360 bhp and 360-380lb torque

I had the TSL catted down-pipe and Group N back box on mine, quiet enough till you give it "the beans" and then it had a nice edge to it !

i own a hawkeye spec c i am currently with scoobyclinic and have found them absolutely fantastic whether you want a 50bhp increase or 500bhp you are catered for and looked after just the same. all the employees own a subaru, and their roots stretch deep into motorsports LMA, Time Attack, Scoobysprint, Drag racing and more, so you are getting an awful lot of knowledge for your cash. have a look at my build, it will be running in time attack next year under scoobyclinic. go to projects section and its under time attack build, this shows the facilities, and quality of work, plus the sheer amount of subarus they have there. i live in south wales but the journey is worth every mile. hope this helps you

Powerstation have been A1 with my motor - recently upgraded the turbo etc. Nothing seems to much trouble and the people there are approachable and human. Very knowledgeable too. I'm picky with my garages and I travel 2 hours to get there.

Thanks to everyone for there imput, its left me with much to think about.
If I go for a tuner without a recognised package supplied with components, what would you advise regarding a parts list.

if your only going for a small increase you want it to be hassle free and tried and tested so you dont end up buying twice three times. i know its nice to be different and all but personally i would use a package from a tuner as this has much testing and proven gains, and its easy to fix if something is'nt right

if you speak to any tuner they will offer the same packages with similar parts it's just that some will advertise a package such as stage 1 stage 2 etc with a discription and parts break down, where the rest will ask what the budget is and where or what you want and the advise on parts to do the job. I sugget call three or four and ask what they sugget

Will make a few phone calls regarding a firm price, also query why Powerstation seem to be the only people that dont include a fuel pump in there package, ( perhaps someone out there knows the reason) is it just cost or a valid technical reason.
Thanks everyone for the advice, and if anybody thinks of anything further please dont hesitate to come forward.

A fuel pump isnt required for that level of tune, hence powerstation dont add the cost.
Most other people will suggest that you uprate anyway due to the minimal cost increase, but it isnt a necessity.
