Default Andrew Carr Mapping - Good?

I am interested in an Impreza at the moment which has been mapped by Andrew Carr and is running quite high figures for the engine it has. I would trust the likes of Andy Forrest to have the car running that power safely, but I haven't heard of Andrew Carr so was just wondering if anyone has any experience of using him?

I'd just like to say this is not a slagging post, the only reason I'm unsure is because I haven't heard of the guy. He could be the best mapper in the world for all I know!

Thanks in advance
Alan

andrew carr has mapped a couple of my cars in the past and all i can say is he knows his stuff, does a very good thorough unrushed job, and overall is a really nice helpful guy.

just remember if your running the car at it's limit it's not always the mappers fault if it goes pop.

Yes there are some things that could happen that you'd just put down to bad luck, but it's a totally different ball-game when a car is tuned properly. Would be much less weight on my mind.

The car in question is a low mileage(40k ish) Uk Turbo which is meant to be running 325bhp.

yes good point does help if you have confidence in the map, must have a uprated turbo if it's running 300bhp plus, should be a nice road car once it's finished.

good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Andrew's mapping is bang on.

Although still only on a VF28 I managed 360/322 on SC's rollers.

Engine was a forged 2.0L STI V heads APS cold intake kit. FMIC, headers, exhaust, 740cc injectors Apexi power FC.

He's an excellent mapper.

Another vote for Andrew here, he has remapped my 02 wrx with full decat and panel filter to 286/308 @ 1.45bar.

I will be going back when i get a bigger turbo.

Hi there,

Sorry to jump on this thread. I have a year 2000 Turbo 2000 AWD with an Ecutek ECU, will Andy be able to map this? Does anyone have a contact number if so.

Thanks

Karl

Another thumbs up from me. Andrew mapped my 03 WRX with full decat and panel filter to 284/305. He has also fitted and mapped a SIMTEK onto my MY98 STI. Its currently running a safe map but feels great. A very nice guy who knows his stuff.

Andy.

Another thumbs up- I've used Andrew several times; always happy to offer advice on mods pre mapping and is happy to spend time explaining stuff too.

Top man

Andrew = Top bloke, extremely helpful, knowledgeable and he did some mapping my last STi. Any problems I've had, I've always been able to pick up the phone and get really sound solid advice.

Once I've got my new motor, I'm planning on getting a SimTek Ecu & mapping from Andrew. Wouldnt go to anyone else nowadays, theres no need to (and I have previously used Andyf prior to Andrew getting involved more seriously on the mapping front)
