Question Where do you lot get your Batteries?

Need to get a new one really .... Halfords do a 2 Year Warranty one for £72 and a 3 Year Warranty one for £92.

I haven't checked how much Subaru do them for .... mine has lasted 9 1/2 years so could be a good buy to buy OE?

Always worth trying your local motor factors.

Take a look at the Bosch Silver range. Andrew Page (Andrew Page) should be able to supply them.

I bought the £92 Halfords one, 3 months ago - works very well, will have to see how long it lasts though

A little birdie tells me that a Bosch Car Battery is actually a Varta ... which is no bad thing.

Both my Scoobs had their OE batteries die at three and a half years of age...

I paid £59 for the current Halfords battery about 3-1/2 years ago.

Bosch UK and Varta UK share the same UK address. Me and my mate both had Bosch 6DA (old model now) from Costco but both went back under warranty and won't hold a charge, both using Optima redtop now which is excellent but not cheap.

Andy.

Cheers all ..... anyone any experience of YUASA?

We use these at work ... obviously not the Car versions!

I know the name and my local factors are offering it for a smidge over £40 ..... 3 Year Warranty too ... sounds good?

AC Delco made the best Batteries, years ago, I regularly had Vauxhalls which had these batteries and they went on for 10 years easy ..... 15 years wasn't unusual.

The one on my Scooby is 9 1/2 years old .... I have typed the model number of it into google and get Japanese pages - which I can't read, of course!

If I could buy an OE Item, I would - you know what you are getting.

I have been offered a 'Pinnacle' make ... I have no idea what they are like!

I've heard from a reliable source there are only 3 factories in the world that manufacture batteries. The only difference is the stickers and the price.Yuasa are as good as anything on the market.

Bought the YUASA - fitted it, pretty straightforward.

3 Year Warranty and a little over £40 seems good .....
