hi all,hope someone can help with a running problem i have with an impreza engine in a vw bus..when first converted ot ran fine but its developed an issue where when stared up it clicks the fuel pump relay which interferers with the fuel pump,the relay also gets hot..ive tried bypassing the relay and the problem is still there but not on the fuel pump running,the revs change on tick over and if you drive it from cold it holds back and pops and bangs when the problem cuts in..once the fans cut in and the engine is hot it does it less but it still effects driving..i have changed fuel tank,2nd external fuel pump,fuel regulator and ecu..ive had a running diagnostics done and that found the engine is also running lean!! any advice much apprieciated..

 

Fuel pressure regulator may have died ?

cheers dunx,have tried the fpr..still the same..forgot to add its a 95/96 import running scooby loom/ecu as in subaru..struggling to sort it..HELP!!

 

found that it also clicks/cuts the pressure exchange solenoid??

 

any ideas,or tests/checks?? thanks..

 

lambda sensor came up on diagnostics as runnung engine lean..would that cause the symtoms im getting?
