I tried last week at my local subaru dealer, he said only 5 door in red or white and mentioned £18000.

Think there's just the red ones left now , As i've ordered a white impreza turbo on a Y.
And after many long sleepless nights I decided the a new old shape was for me.
Dealer was asking full Retail price 20950 on the road price and has thrown in a Elec sun roof & a few other small extras. sounds like I should go back and haggle if other dealers have been letting them go for 18k , anyone have any dealer phone numbers please.
Btw the sale price 20950 is against my part X which they have offered me a reasonable figure for.

Steve - don't know about 'Y' plate Scoobs (although I'm sure there must be a few unregistered P1s about ), but I did see an 'X' reg Ford Escort tonight Thought they stopped making them ages ago.

Lee,
See the DBM behind it, that baby's mine at a very reasonable price with a few novelties thrown in, CD player, SWRT coat, 1 years Tax and I get to sleep with the dealers wife lol.
He tried to flog me the P1 but i thought that that would be a case of "all the gear and no idea"

Re. the X plate Escort, production only stopped in the last quarter of 2000.
I was at the Halewood plant (we do some business with Ford) and the production guys were saying that it was the best time to buy an new (old) Escort.
Apparently, all the quality procedures etc etc that are required for the new baby Jag were in place ready and the last Escorts were being built in line with these standards.

Lee,
I'm gonna go pick up Steve Hanslow and then nip upto Bardills Island to meet up with a few of the chaps there, geographically that makes sense.
I live in Nottingham myself but work takes me all over.
Don't you reckon David looks a little like De'niro? Go on close ya eyes and think about it
Cya at the track dude
