I just phoned GradeA Subaru breakers. They can give me one for £75+vat
They said the ones they have in stock are flat without cracks.

What is the best course of action now skim or a used flywheel. Mine that would be skimmed has high spots and cracks the ones GradeA have they say only show heat spots no cracks no high spots.

I phoned a company that has done head skimming for me before but they said they didn't have a lath big enough.
What sort of people will do that, is flywheel skimming uncomman?
Or would say any engineering company be able to do it?
I believe it needs balancing so I dont want to make any mistakes.

Ive phoned all the local engine reconditioning places and none of them can do it, they can do cylinder heads but for the flywheel they some say they need a bigger lath and others say they can not do the impreza flywheel because of the shape.

Anyway I've give up phoning now and can not afford a new flywheel so gonna get a used one from GradeA Subaru Breakers... they are a bit steep but they said they have 1 there with just heat spots but it's flat with no cracks £82.

If you buy a secondhand flywheel with heatspots you will still be highly advised to have it skimmed.
