What makes people think this is a spec C? All I see are the brakes and wheels from the RA-R and a nasty looking rear diffuser.

It's on trade plates driven by Japanese 2 test drivers so I guess people are putting two and two together. Trade plated cars are not allowed out during Touristenfahrten so are restricted to private/industry test days.

If it is on the smiley board, it will be used.

If it was meant to be "tounge in cheek" it died on the beach.................

I understand the conclusion that it's a test car but why a spec C? Nothing about the car in question would lead me to believe it was a lightweight homologation special. I'd love to be proved wrong because I haven't a clue what I'll replace mine with

Two little rumours I've heard,

The new Spec C will NOT be much lighter than a standard STi, if which is true, it will be a big mistake IMHO

sort of related

Subaru may be rejoining the WRC for the last couple of Rally's and possibly resume next full season But the team will be from STi Japan and only a support roll for Prodrive

The good thing with the STI is there is no way to chav up the rear lights as Subaru have already done it for you
