If I was you mate I would wait until you have a full day to spend on it, starting at 4pm is not really the best thing to do unless you plan on working all night and have somewhere inside to work. It is a crappy job, there was 3 of us when we did mine. and it still took us best part of a day to do, plus we were in a subaru dealers workshop so had all the toys.

Took me about 8 hours all in and I was going solow/careful

If you have a look in the how to section there is a good writeup which I referred to the whole time. Its not rocket science but a bit fiddly sometimes. You don't NEED and angle-grinder but it will cut things a bit quicker lol. Likewise you don't need to remove the wing but it helps - I didn't.

Oh & I did it on my own too.

You will also need a bit hose for connecting the dumpvalve to the intercooler pipe work

took me about 4 evenings to do mine. Take your time cutting the bumper as it will look naff if you rush it. I found a dremmel the best tool for the job. measure twice, cut once.

Good advice, dremmel is worth every penny and has a lot of uses to boot!

Wurzel - took 8 hours and in a Subaru Garage, bunch of germanic puffs, have been Subaru trained mechanics then

Oi! I never said it took 8 hours and it wasn't subaru mechanics who did it! It was me and 2 of my mates, we just happened to have access to my dealers workshop for the day.

The biggest problem we had apart from cuttting the bumper was the pipe that comes out the right hand side as you look at it and goes up in front fo the engine, you need to bend some chassis out of the way to get the pipe to fit. we did this but obviously not enough because the pipe rubbed on the chassis when the engine was running and eventually wore a hole in the intercooler pipe.

I dunno if im not looking into this enough but it doesnt look to hard - Doesnt look easy either

Stripping the lights, wing, bumper, intercooler off it doesnt take to long
Cut the wing out and then adjust the cooler and everything to fit

Im sure its not that easy tho i imagine the longest part is mocking it up and cutting the bumper out etc
Stripping the bumper & lights off was the easy part, getting the pipes in then using the Dremmel to cut the front panel takes a bit of time, especially if you want it to look good. My front bumper support was rusty so I rubbed it down and treated it with POR15, along with the inner wing and front panel, where they had been cut. The bumper took the longest as I wanted to retain as much of it as possible in order to retain some strength and shape - once you cut the centre support then it becomes very wobbly!

You will fiind that you are cutting a bit of the bumper, then fitting it, marking where its hitting the pipes or the cooler, then cutting again, over and over again, enjoy...
