Easter holiday week and a Friday so I decides to take the P1 out of the garage for a blat into work. Roads are quiet and seems a nice wee day for it.......

.....gets to work and the car park is half empty, lot of folk off for the holidays and I park the car as far away from the building as possible, at the end space, which is still empty with the exception of my car and some muppet in a VW Toe-rag that has parket about 2" away from my door!!!!

It never ceases to amaze me........there must be about 20spare spaces up there, what is it all about!?!? I can see my car from my window and couldn't believe it.

I will be straight out on my lunch hour and if I find a door ding, murder will be commited in this building..........

Bit a rule for me here; the spaces in the far corner of car parks is usually targetted by the bad driver who need two/three consecutive empty space in order to get their car parked. But still need to park next to a car as they can't judge where the lines are that mark out each parking space.

As such, I personally found its a bad idea to try and park your car in the empty far corner of a car park, as some numpty will park next to you, as they use your car as a marker guide to identify where the bay markings are...leaving your car's bodywork at its peril.

I cant take the stress of parking in car parks anymore because of clue-less idiots who clearly have never owned anything they care about

This is one of my pet hates. I'll never understand what makes people do this!

Even more frustrating than this was an incident in work a few weeks ago. I'm busting to let one go in work, go to the toilets and there are eight empty cubicles. I go for the end one, furthest away from the door for a that added bit of privacy. Five minutes in and some tool comes in and takes the cubicle right next to me! I mean wtf! Why would you wanna do that when there are seven others to choose from?!?!?!

lucky i have two car seats in the back,so supermarket carparking isnt to bad ,mother and baby spaces are great, every carpark space in the uk should be the same as them

I actually went out in it at lunch and found no dings so I am still a free man hehe

I see where Dunk is coming from....I really don't mind folk "parking next to" my car.........but parking about an inch from my car....against the drivers side....even if I wasn't arsed about door dings is just plain stupid! I'm 6ft and 15stone....not an easy task to squeeze into the thing! Admittedly I'm not a fat 15 stone so I managed...just.....but **** me- shouldn't be needed when I have deliberately parked right to one side of my own space to allow a clearance on the other side.

I maybe am a bit of a sad b@st@rd for not wanting the eyesores on my car (or having to spend the £££ to fix any...) but so be it :-P

lifes too short to worry about little things like door dings m8, i used to be like that with my old one but have learned just to drive it enjoy driving it and not worry about it, i much prefer it this way TBH
