you seriously need to try AD07's.... superb ability for Road/Track use!...
what makes you say the F1's are better than the Advan AD07/AD08's?... you tried them?

The good things about T1R's
1) They don't tramline

Tony, I would suggest you look at the Uniroyal Rainsport II tyre.
I've just picked a pair up to replace the front Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's which are worn. From http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk they get a fantastic review in the wet, something I thought the Eagle F1's couldn't be beat on.
Admittedly never tried the Advan's, but I was looking for a reasonable tyre at a reasonable price. Couldn't justify R888's etc. while I'm a bum
Gonna get them put on tomorrow hopefully

Having looked at those vids I too would love to know thier conclusion.
From a purely looks point of view, I like the RE11, but the advan also looks the nuts. Don't like the look of the Toyo R1R..
Either way, any of these would have to be something very special to beat the ALL ROUND performance of GY F1 Asymetric's though..

Just watched both the videos...... and because I speak Japanese, I can tell you that both the Toyos and the Advans got good reviews.
The Toyo, is a good tyre for beginners, it feels very safe, however, to get the best out of the tyres, the suspension must be set up accordingly.
The Advan, pretty much everything they said was good about it.
Both tyres have quite a small block pattern, which they said makes things easier to control when sliding... its more of a gradual slide rather than a sharp one, but they said the Toyos tend to grip a bit too strong when finishing a slide...
I personally run Advan Neova AD07's (last years model) and they are the best tyre that I have ever driven on, being a great compromise between a sports tyre and a semi slick Also great in the wet.
Havnt tried the Toyos, but can say that the Neovas get a 10/10 from me

You have got to be kidding?? I had Uniroyal Rainsports on my car and they were just ok as long as it wasnt wet, and in the wet they were plain awful ....WTF i thought they were a rain tyre!?

It put me off Toyo T1R-s as they're prone to loosing all grip without warning, and I've heard Parada's are awful in the wet.
Nothing can be as bad as the Pirelli p5000 though
I'll get a few spirited miles on the Rainsport II's (remember not the first one's) and see what they're like.
