And just for the record I would love a TM 6 but things that need money chucking at it keep popping up
But honestly, there's no ****ing way I'd swap that Scoob for one!
If it were standard - maybe, but that's one tasty motor that mate

Have owned 3 Evo's in the past and now back in a scoob!!!
Unless you got deep pockets for servicing(ayc oil changed every 4.5k miles) unless its a RS model, and close to 1k for a clutch when it goes, I wouldnt bother, to be honest I wouldnt go for a Evo 6 from a hawkeye scoob, no point going backwards!!!!
And a Tommi Mak is just a Evo 6 GSR with different bumper, and different coloured interior. Not worth the extra money, as performance is the same as a GSR, nothing that special about them in my eyes.
But if you really want a Evo 6, have a look at a Evo 6 RS or RSX, no AYC, ABS etc, shorter ratio gears(RS not RSX) and 100kg lighter, basically the evo's version of a Type RA, maybe a bit extreme for some!!!

Mate,
If you are toiling to get a 30k service for monetery reasons you should stick with the scooby, Evos' will be more expensive to run and also MPG, not vast differences but they do exist.
Is your car a STi or WRX, you mentioned 5 spd box but have STi badges , i am slightly confused???
That is a lot of power if its a wrx, nice car though.

Would have to agree with all of the above and with scoobyboy if you did do it I would go for something more special than a tm even though they are limited imwould have to go for a rs450 same that is for sale at extreme at the minute think it was up at £16k
Best of luck what ever you decide but to go from what you got to and let's race it a dated ten year old car I think would be a move you will end up regreting

My advice for Scooby401/Blackhawk is lose the STi Badges, car looks nice and you have already spent money on it which you won't get back unless you strip the car and sell the bits on.

I'll probably end up doing just that, if i was to go for an evo it would have to be a 6 for now and then a 9 after that, but if the MLR lads are telling me not to do it

I went from a 04 Impreza WRX to a Evo 7 GSR to a Evo 6 RSX and to a Evo 6 GSR, The Evo 6 RSX was the best out of the lot, I wouldnt bother with a GSR again.
This was my Impreza WRX(black also, best colour):
And my gorgeous Evo 6 RSX!!!

I see what your saying, I was in the same boat, I was always a big Evo fan always loved the look of the Evo 6. End of the day there is no point anyone telling you that your better of with your scooby, maybe you need to try a Evo 6 and see for yourself. You might love it or hate it!!!
